Saints quarterback Drew Brees was hitting on all cylinders in Friday's win over the Raiders, completing 14-of-18 passes for 202 yards and one score.
Drew Brees makes preseason case to be top fantasy quarterback
Drew Brees went off at the Superdome. We break down the fantasy implications.

He put up a 131.9 passer rating and obviously the time away from head coach Sean Payton hasn’t skipped a beat. The last time the two were together, Brees put up an astonishing 5,476 passing yards and 46 TDs in 2011. Although, his 2012 numbers were nothing to scoff at, totaling 5,177 yards and 43 scores.
Fantasy impact: He’s a fantasy monster and being reunited with Sean Payton puts him in the catbird seat this year. The Saints have a weak defense yet again and the team will be asked to score a lot of points. Plus, being in a dome and playing against some lackluster defenses this season only adds to the allure of Brees as a fantasy pick.
This sounds great and all, but the depth of quarterback makes it hard to target that position early. If your league is competitive, it might be hard to fill out your running backs with Drew Brees as your second-round pick. If you want to draft Brees, be sure to use two of your other top four picks on a back.
