Chris Givens catches a bomb in Rams preseason game versus Packers
Chris Givens continued the trend he started in his rookie season, and caught a 57-yard pass from Sam Bradford on Saturday night. We break down the fantasy implications.

It was Givens' only catch of the night on two targets, but he made it count. Givens got free on a fly pattern when Sam Bradford sold a playaction fake and hit Givens deep over the middle, and ultimately set the Rams up for first-and-goal at the five-yard line. So far this preseason, Givens has caught four passes for 139 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy Spin: Givens exploded onto the fantasy scene a season ago, recording five consecutive games with a catch over 50 yards. He has big-play ability written all over him, but that tendency usually means feast-or-famine from week-to-week. In year two, we’d like to see Givens able to prove fantasy value without needing to catch a bomb, but the fact remains that Givens can take the top off of defenses at any given moment. As of now, Givens is a serviceable WR3 with WR2 upside in standard leagues, but be prepared for boom-or-bust possibility each week.
