Carson Palmer struggles in second preseason game, fantasy value remains as backup
Carson Palmer wasn’t as sharp in his second preseason game with the Cardinals. We break down the fantasy implications.

It isn't the flashy performance that people wanted to see after completing four of six attempts in his abbreviated debut. However, the veteran quarterback was not shy about getting the ball to Larry Fitzgerald, which is music to the ears of fantasy owners everywhere.
Fantasy Spin: With one of the best receivers in the league to throw to, as well as having budding talent in Michael Floyd, head coach Bruce Arians won't need to think twice about sticking with his pass-heavy philosophy. Questions of health and inexperience also litter the running back depth chart, further paving the way for Carson Palmer to have a big role this season.
Palmer isn't the efficient, game-changing talent he was in the beginning of his career, but volume alone will make him a great backup option to have on fantasy football benches. Despite his decline, he is still worlds ahead of the options the Cardinals had at the position a season ago, and boosts in value can be expected from Fitzgerald, Floyd, Andre Roberts and tight end Rob Housler.
