Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton had a good game against the New York Giants on Sunday, catching two passes for 36 yards, including an 18-yard touchdown from quarterback Andrew Luck. Hilton's performance was significant following the first week of preseason action against the Buffalo Bills, in which he caught three passes for 61 yards an another touchdown.
T.Y. Hilton has another strong showing in preseason; could have fantasy value
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is establishing himself as one of Andrew Luck’s top targets. We break down the fantasy implications.

Hilton came on strong in his rookie season, playing in 15 games and catching 50 passes for 861 yards and seven touchdowns. The Colts desperately needed him to step up alongside Reggie Wayne, and he's done that. Even still, the team went out and signed wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey this offseason, creating some competition among the receivers.
Heyward-Bey also had a good game, catching four passes for 42 yards. He seems to have caught on to the offense rather quickly, and while he might not supplant Hilton this year, he may be good insurance for Wayne, who doesn’t have too much longer in the league, it would seem. Wayne was solid on Sunday, with three receptions for 37 yards and a touchdown, Luck’s second of the game.
Fantasy Impact: The Colts’ top three receivers will probably be Wayne, Hilton and Heyward-Bey. Hilton playing well with multiple touchdown receptions in the preseason likely solidifies him as the team’s No. 2 going forward, and also possibly a reliable option for fantasy owners. HIlton might not be your No. 1 guy, but Luck is getting better and better, and as he does, Hilton’s value should only increase.
