Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin participated in practice on Monday, but he was strictly no-contact throughout the session, according to Rick Stroud of Tampa Bay Times. Matin participated in individual work and walkthroughs, but the team was being cautious as Martin suffered an apparent head injury in the last preseason game.
Doug Martin returns to practice, fantasy owners need not worry
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin returned to practice on Monday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Martin was hit in the head by Chandler Jones' knee during a game against the New England Patriots. Martin was trying to block Jones in pass protection, and he immediately left the game following the hit. Most feared a concussion after, but Martin was adamant that he did not suffer a concussion and passed all the required tests.
There’s word that Martin could have practiced with full contact on Monday without issue, but it makes sense to take it slow, especially in the preseason and especially with a player in his second year.
Fantasy Impact: It’s great that Martin doesn’t have a concussion, and that he’s back practicing so soon. The Buccaneers can take it as slow as they want to and it shouldn’t worry fantasy owners one bit. Martin put up 1,454 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns as a rookie and while he isn’t quite the top running back pick, he’s rising up draft boards and fantasy owners would be lucky to have him.
