It’s a bust-for-bust deal with both receivers failing to live up to the billing of being first-round receivers in the NFL Draft. Jenkins has been discussed as a possible cut for the 49ers and it seems like they would accept anything they could get. Meanwhile, Baldwin has a case of the drops and he’s really lacked the ability to get open and create separation from DBs.
Fantasy impact: If you’re in a standard league, this news doesn’t really concern you. Both players haven’t done anything to suggest that a change of scenery will jumpstart their careers. Of the two, Baldwin may have a better shot for production since San Francisco doesn’t have a reliable receiver outside of Anquan Boldin. What’s more, Boldin is a bit of an injury risk with his litany of injuries in his 11-year career. To be clear, we’re talking about a pick around 200 or deeper for those that want to take a shot on him.
