Victor Cruz could be out for preseason, fantasy value should hold steady
Victor Cruz (heel) may have played his last preseason snap. We break down the fantasy implications.

Cruz went down in the first quarter of Sunday night's game against the Colts with a bruised heel. X-rays were negative on his foot and the team believes that rest is the proper treatment. He said he just had his foot stepped on and there doesn't appear to be anything structurally wrong with the top wideout.
Fantasy impact: He's fine. Cruz is fully expected to be able to suit up against the Cowboys in Week 1 and this shouldn't theoretically hurt his draft value. Although, this could create an opportunity for Rueben Randle to get on the same page with Eli Manning. Randle has been one of the best players at Giants camp with explosive plays. Cruz does seem like a lock to get the most targets and catches in the Giants offense, but the size of Hakeem Nicks and Randle could hurt his looks in the red zone. He's still a low-end WR1 or high-end WR2 in most formats. Randle is still a decent pick late in drafts because he would be a must-add player with an injury to either Cruz or Nicks.
