Le’Veon Bell getting another opinion on foot injury; fantasy owners beware
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell is getting a second opinion on his foot injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell is getting a second opinion on his foot injury, according to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports. Bell was diagnosed with a mid-foot sprain after the second preseason game.
The team is just awaiting the results of the second opinion, as Bell has already had his MRI. It’s unclear how much time he’ll miss due to the sprain, especially given that it’s one of those injuries that vary so much from player to player. Some come back in a couple weeks, while others deal with the “nagging” injury throughout the course of an entire season.
Bell is expected to be the starting running back for Pittsburgh. Bell has already been limited due to injury at points this offseason. His backups are Jonathan Dwyer and Isaac Redman at this point.
Fantasy Impact: While Bell was already an unknown commodity for fantasy owners due to the fact that he’s a rookie, this makes him an even less-attractive option. Given that he was in-line to be the starter, there was some boom-or-bust potential there, but the injury concerns over his short NFL career thus far are worrying. Bell should be avoided in your fantasy drafts until this gets sorted out.
