Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson is unsure of whether or not he'll be able to play in Week 1 of the regular season, according to Paul Imig of FOX Sports Wisconsin. Nelson underwent knee surgery two weeks ago, and though he hopes to be ready to take on the San Francisco 49ers in less than three weeks, it's unclear if he'll be able to.
Jordy Nelson fantasy value up in the air with Week 1 uncertainty
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson is unsure if he’ll be ready in Week 1. We break down the fantasy implications.

Nelson is progressing “right on schedule,” but that schedule seems to be coming along slowly. Nelson had a down year last season, putting up just 745 yards in 12 games, though he did have seven touchdowns. This came after a 68-reception, 1,263-yard season in 2011 in which he also had 15 touchdowns.
The Packers need Nelson back in the lineup sooner rather than later. The team let Greg Jennings walk in free agency, making Nelson the top receiver for Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay.
Fantasy Impact: Nelson is a popular choice for a second or third receiver for most fantasy owners. He’s not going to be the top receiver taken and after this news, he won’t be anywhere near the top 10. If he can get healthy sooner rather than later, all signs point to Nelson being a productive receiver this season, but if he suffers any physical setbacks, he may be one to avoid on draft day.
