Houston Texans running back Arian Foster will come off the physically unable to perform list on Wednesday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Foster was placed on the PUP list with a calf injury suffered during organized team activities, but has been rehabbing a minor back injury of late.
Arian Foster coming off PUP list, fantasy owners rejoice
Houston Texans running back Arian Foster is coming of the PUP list on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

The back injury came just after his calf had healed up, and Foster was unable to participate in practice. The injections he received to help with the back pain caused more pain in his legs, according to ESPN. It’s been a rough offseason for Foster at this point.
It’s unclear when Foster will actually be available to and participate in practice, and unclear if he’ll participate in either of the remaining two preseason games. Head coach Gary Kubiak has been optimistic that Foster would be ready for Week 1 of the regular season throughout this process.
Fantasy Impact: Foster isn’t the top pick in fantasy drafts: that’s Adrian Peterson. But he’s right behind Peterson, and though he’s been banged up for what seems like most of the offseason, his injuries have been mostly categorized as “minor.” On top of that, the Texans are being incredibly careful with Foster and his injury. You should draft with confidence at this point.
