Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has been ruled out of Sunday's preseason game against the New Orleans Saints, per Tania Ganguli. Hopkins left last week's game with a concussion and is still in phase one of the testing protocol.
DeAndre Hopkins ruled out of preseason game, but concussion shouldn’t alter fantasy value
DeAndre Hopkins is still in the early phases of concussion tests and won’t play in Sunday’s preseason game. We break down the fantasy implications.

The first-round rookie is now unlikely to play in the rest of the preseason, but the Texans still think he will be available for the regular season opener.
Fantasy impact: Hopkins has just over two weeks to pass the five-phase concussion tests and be cleared in time for Week 1. If healthy, he will instantly slide into the No. 2 receiver role opposite Andre Johnson. Hopkins has some of the best hands and route-running skills of the 2013 draft class, and is one of the safest fantasy picks among rookies this year.
That said, his ceiling will be limited in Houston’s run-first offense and Johnson remains the deep yardage threat. Consider Hopkins a low-end WR3 in his first year.
