He didn’t do much as an actual running back, getting just six carries for one yard, but at times he looked like the best player on the field, ripping off huge gains off screen passes and making defenders look silly in the open field.
Fantasy impact: The Lions may have tipped their hand as to how they will use Bush--he will be a glorified wide receiver in their pass-happy offense. That’s not a bad thing at all, because he’s still deadly in open space and the team seems determined to give him the ball at every opportunity.
The standard preseason caveats apply here, but so far Bush and the Lions look like a match made in heaven. He has a legitimate shot at 80-90 receptions and could unseat Darren Sproles as the best PPR running back in fantasy.
