New England Patriots quarterback Tim Tebow didn't play at all in Thursday's 40-9 loss to the Detroit Lions. Starter Tom Brady played the entire first half, and the Patriots stuck with Ryan Mallett in the second half even while Lions fans chanted Tebow's name in the fourth quarter. ESPN Boston speculates that Tebow may not survive Tuesday's roster cut to 75 players.
Tim Tebow doesn’t play in preseason game, still irrelevant in fantasy
Tim Tebow didn’t play a single snap in Thursday’s game and his roster spot may be in jeopardy. We break down the fantasy implications.

Tebow was dismal in the first two preseason games, completing just 5 of 19 passes for 54 yards, no touchdowns and one interception.
Fantasy impact: Bill Belichick likes to keep things close to the chest when it comes to roster moves, but it’s pretty damning that Tebow couldn’t see the field even in a preseason blowout loss. At this point, even Tebow’s most ardent fans should admit the dream is dead.
Entering his fourth NFL season, Tebow has shown zero progress as a quarterback and still isn’t willing to consider a position change. There is no sane reason to consider him in fantasy, even if you’re in a 32-team, two QB league. Tebow may end up watching NFL games from his couch this season.
