The New York Giants are technically the "home" team when they take on the New York Jets on Saturday. There is plenty of intrigue heading into this game, both in real life and fantasy football land. Let's break down the major storylines for fantasy players to follow as draft week approaches.
Giants vs. Jets preseason 2013: Fantasy football preview
The Giants take on the Jets in a New York preseason showdown. We break down the relevant fantasy storylines to follow.

Geno gets his chance
Rookie Geno Smith will be starting the game after missing last week with an ankle injury. Some believe that he can win the starting job over Mark Sanchez by being simply competent. It's a major storyline in the real world, but I'm not sure if it's relevant to fantasy players. Smith still doesn't have many weapons to work with and the running game remains a question mark. He's worth a flier in Dynasty, but I don't see him helping teams in 2013.
Rueben Randle starting, has breakout potential
Rueben Randle is getting the start with Victor Cruz sidelined until Week 1. Meanwhile, Hakeem Nicks has struggled with durability, failing to play 16 games in his four-year career. Randle is loaded with talent and has WR3 potential if Nicks goes down again or Cruz has a setback. He's a value pick in the late rounds.
How much does Coughlin trust Wilson?
David Wilson is an explosive running back and should get the majority of carries in New York. However, coach Tom Coughlin still isn't pleased with his pass protection and occasional mental lapses. Andre Brown has been seeing all the third-down snaps and expect that arrangement to continue into the season. Wilson has legitimate RB1 talent, but his upside will be capped if he can't play all three downs.
