The catch near the sideline set the team up for a first-and-goal situation that was cashed-in with an ensuing touchdown connection between Rex Grossman and Pierre Garcon. Davis' catch to set this up has been a theme when he's seen game action, catching four passes for 52 yards and a touchdown on limited snaps.
Fantasy Spin: In 2012, Davis was on pace for 61 catches and 832 yards before going down Week 7 with a torn Achilles tendon, and hasn’t shown any signs of being hampered by the injury this preseason. The limited action is precautionary, and should Davis log a full season under his belt, he could benefit greatly from a read-option offense that freezes linebackers along the seam. Redskins tight ends certainly moved the chains and scored at efficient rates, now the biggest obstacle is volume. Davis is currently being drafted in the 12th round, and a player like him with TE1 upside would be an absolute steal at that draft position.
