Rams backfield continues to take shape with Daryl Richardson atop the depth chart
Daryl Richardson was the only running back to work with the Rams starters on Saturday night. We break down the fantasy implications.

Richardson didn't have much running room, posting a line of just 10 yards on five carries, but he appears to have a firm grasp on the starting position over Isaiah Pead and rookie Zac Stacy. Pead showed signs of life with 22 yards on five carries and was targeted once in the receiving game while working with other backups.
Fantasy Spin: Pead, a former second-round pick, was the favorite to win the starting job this summer, but has not done anything to warrant his coaches’ confidence. As a result, Richardson, who was the only back to get work with the rest of the team’s starters, looks to be the one to get the lion’s share of backfield snaps this season. Fantasy owners know that more snaps means more chances to get fantasy points, and even if Richardson is solely a beneficiary of volume, he’s a justifiable RB3/flex with RB2 upside.
