Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Greg Jennings caught two passes for 24 yards in preseason action against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Jennings likely won't play in the fourth preseason game, so he wraps up his exhibition season with three receptions for 29 yards.
Greg Jennings targeted five times Sunday, is a smart fantasy value pick
Greg Jennings was targeted five times on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

These stats won’t blow anyone away, but Jennings is expected to be Christian Ponder’s top target, and that’s an expectation validated by the fact that Jennings was targeted five times on Sunday and three times in the previous game. Sure, he only caught three of eight targets, but Ponder is looking for him, and that’s what’s key.
Jennings played in just eight games last uyear due to injury, but had at least 900 yards in each of the five seasons prior, including three seasons with more than 1,000 yards and two with at least 12 touchdowns. By all accounts, he has plenty left in the tank, too.
Fantasy Impact: When the Vikings traded away Percy Harvin and signed Jennings, it became clear that he would be their No. 1 receiver. That said, we needed to see Ponder looking for him in an actual game situation and we definitely saw that, despite a poor throw or two from Ponder and strong defense from their opponents. Jennings is a value pick at this point, with his average draft position sitting in the eighth round. He seems a smart bet there.
