San Diego Chargers wide receiver Malcom Floyd returned to practice on Monday and is hoping to play in the regular season opener.
Malcom Floyd returns to practice, back on the fantasy radar
Malcom Floyd is back at practice after suffering a sprained knee two weeks ago. We break down the fantasy implications.

Floyd suffered a sprained knee two weeks ago in a collision with cornerback Shareece Wright. He has been spending his time in individual drills. Floyd is expected to earn a starting job alongside Vincent Brown after Danario Alexander tore his ACL. He caught 56 passes for 814 yards and five touchdowns last season.
Fantasy impact: With the knee no longer a major concern, it’s time to consider Floyd’s place in the fantasy picture. Brown is the favorite to lead the Chargers in receiving yards due to his skills in the intermediate passing game. Floyd is primarily a deep threat, but that makes him a poor fit in Mike McCoy’s short-range offense. He’s not much more than a WR4 at this point. Brown is the safer bet.
