Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is expected to be a workhorse in Andy Reid's offense this season. The Kansas City Star is setting an over/under of 280 touches and 5.3 yards per carry for Charles.
Elite fantasy star Jamaal Charles projected to get close to 300 touches
The Kansas City Star is projecting Jamaal Charles to get a combined 280 touches this season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Charles has surpassed that total only once in his career, recording 285 carries and 35 receptions in 2012. He rushed for 1,509 yards and five touchdowns while adding 236 yards in the passing game. Charles could end up getting more receptions in Reid’s pass-first offense.
Fantasy impact: For comparison's sake, Eagles running back LeSean McCoy had 254 touches last season in 12 games before missing time with a concussion. He had 321 in 2011 and 285 in 2010, including 78 receptions.
Charles is one of the top players in all of fantasy and should be going in the top five in every draft. Reid’s offense could give him added appeal in PPR leagues.
