Denver Broncos running back Ronnie Hillman started the final preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday. Hillman's appearance was brief, getting two carries for 14 yards before making way for Jeremiah Johnson and Lance Ball.
Ronnie Hillman starts final preseason game, may not matter in fantasy
Ronnie Hillman got the start in Thursday’s preseason finale, while Montee Ball and Knowshon Moreno sat out. We break down the fantasy implications.

Rookie Montee Ball and Knowshon Moreno both sat the game out. Hillman briefly lost first-team reps in practice after fumbling three times in preseason, but he gained them back on Tuesday. Head coach John Fox has yet to name a starter and is hinting at going with a full committee in the regular season.
Fantasy impact: Most of the first team sat out Thursday’s game, so this seems to indicate that Ball and Moreno will get the majority of carries. Hillman is still unlikely to make a big fantasy impact this year and is a late-round flier at best in deep leagues. Ball remains the favorite to lead the Broncos in snaps, with Moreno coming in on passing downs.
