Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson (shin) was back in pads on Monday. He is listed as questionable for Thursday’s preseason opener against the Rams after being kicked in the shin earlier in training camp.
Trent Richardson back in pads for Monday’s practice, remains high fantasy value option
Trent Richardson (shin) was back in pads on Monday. We break down the fantasy implications.

He missed most of training camp and the preseason last year with a knee injury, but this shin injury is not considered serious. The Alabama product missed just one game last season and ranked ninth in offensive snaps for running backs. He finished with 950 rushing yards, 12 total touchdowns and 51 catches in his rookie season.
Fantasy impact: The Browns are just being cautious with their franchise running back and there’s a good chance he’ll be ready for Thursday’s game. T-Rich won’t be seeing much action in the first game of the season. Even if he does miss time, this news should not be viewed as a negative to his fantasy value. The Browns offense is expected to improve this year with Brandon Weeden making some strides, but Richardson would be hard-pressed to top his 12 scores from last year. He’s a fairly safe player to take at the end of the first round of fantasy drafts with his guaranteed role as the featured back.
