Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart may stay on the active/PUP list until the end of preseason, according to Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer. It's unknown if he will be ready for the regular season by then.
Jonathan Stewart may stay on PUP through preseason, securing DeAngelo Williams’ fantasy value
Jonathan Stewart isn’t fully healed form his ankle injury and may stay on the active/PUP until the end of preseason. His fantasy value is sinking lower by the week.

Stewart played in only nine games last season while nursing injuries on both of his ankles. He had offseason surgery and his left ankle is much better now, but his right ankle is still bothering him and he started camp on the PUP. DeAngelo Williams will continue to take the first-team reps while Stewart is sidelined.
Fantasy impact: This is only good news for Williams, who may finally emerge as the feature back after being stuck in an ill-advised timeshare with Stewart. New offensive coordinator Mike Shula is moving to a more traditional offense.
Williams’ current ADP is in the seventh round, which may be a little high but is a much better value than Stewart in the 10th. I don’t recommend starting him in 10-team leagues, but he’s quality flex depth in 12 and 14 team leagues.
