Vince Young is back in the NFL, signing a one-year deal with the Green Bay Packers. A former third overall pick out of the University of Texas, Young last played with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011, recording 866 yards, four touchdowns and nine interceptions in six games.
Vince Young signs with Packers; fantasy owners shrug
Vince Young has signed a one-year deal with the Packers, but the move likely won’t have any fantasy impact unless something catastrophic happens.

The 30-year-old signed with the Buffalo Bills in 2012, but was released in the preseason and spent the entire year out of football.
Fantasy impact: Probably none, but as a backup to Aaron Rodgers, Young is a massive upgrade over Graham Harrell and B.J. Coleman. He also gives the Packers defense a dual-threat quarterback to practice against--Green Bay will be facing Colin Kaepernick and Robert Griffin III in the first two games of the regular season.
Most fantasy owners shouldn't bother with Young, but if you happen to play in a deep 2-QB league, he might be worth a look as a Rodgers handcuff, particularly with left tackle Bryan Bulaga out for the season.
