Bilal Powell is listed as the top running back for the Jets offense in their initial release on Monday.
Bilal Powell tops preseason running back depth chart for messy Jets fantasy offense
Bilal Powell was atop the Jets initial preseason depth chart at running back. We break down the fantasy implications.

Powell was believed to be in either the third spot behind Chris Ivory and Mike Goodson while even Joe McKnight has threatened him for the that spot. The Louisville product had a decent finish to his 2012 season, averaging 4.2 yards per carry and catching eight balls for 64 yards in December.
Fantasy impact: Don’t put too much stock into preseason depth charts, folks. While Chris Ivory isn’t 100 percent with his hamstring bothering him, there’s very little doubt that he’ll be in the backfield on the Jets first offensive snap in Week 1 as long as he’s healthy. Powell never really showed he can make big plays for the Jets while Ivory had three of his 40 carries go for 20-plus yards last season. Powell can be ignored in almost all leagues and Ivory remains a sneaky, high-upside pick in the early-middle rounds.
