Ivory, who was traded to the Jets from the New Orleans Saints in the offseason, has been bothered by a hamstring problem in training camp. Bilal Powell will likely start in place of Ivory.
Fantasy Impact: Ivory is getting his chance to be a No. 1 running back in New York. The Saints had a number of good running backs on their roster and Ivory -- despite showing bursts of talent -- never got regular opportunities in New Orleans.
Fantasy owners don’t yet need to worry about the hamstring injury and should still target Ivory as a No. 2/3 running back on draft day depending on the league format. Ivory could be a steal this season.
