Cecil Shorts expected to miss Friday’s preseason game; fantasy value solid
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts will likely miss Friday’s preseason game because of a calf injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Shorts was a standout in 2012 for Jacksonville, finishing with 55 catches for 979 yards and seven touchdowns.
Fantasy Impact: Fantasy owners looking for production later in the draft need to keep Shorts in mind. He was very effective last season but will likely be passed over by some because he doesn’t play in a great offense.
He is the No. 1 fantasy wide receiver option in Jacksonville and in some 12-team formats isn’t going until the sixth or seventh round. Even If he only matches his numbers from last season, Shorts makes for a great value pick at that point on Draft Day.
