Trent Richardson to sit out preseason opener as precaution, fantasy value remains high
Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson will sit out his team’s preseason opener. We break down the fantasy implications.

Richardson ran for 950 yards and 11 touchdowns last season for the Browns despite playing part of it with two broken ribs. Chudzinski says Richardson could have played if Thursday's matchup with the St. Louis Rams were a regular-season game. Dion Lewis will start in Richardson's place.
Fantasy Impact: Richardson turned into a fantasy force last season, especially around the goal line. He scored rushing touchdowns in nine games in 2012 and will almost certainly be a first-round pick for fantasy owners in all formats this year.
Richardson is a young, powerful running back and the Browns really don’t have anyone else to take his carries. He will be popular on Draft Day.
