Fantasy sleeper Vincent Brown will not play on Thursday
Vincent Brown (hamstring) will not play in Thursday’s preseason opener. Should you still monitor him for fantasy?

Brown is thrust into a starting role at wide receiver with Danario Alexander being ruled out for the season with a torn ACL. He missed six practices with the hamstring strain and it is not considered to be serious. The 24-year-old wideout missed the entire year last season with a broken leg.
Fantasy impact: He's going to be worth watching in all fantasy leagues. Brown showed the ability to get down the field in 2011 with 17.4 yards per catch. The Chargers offense was a mess last year and the team still hasn't seen anyone step up since they lost Vincent Jackson last year. Robert Meachem may have been the worst offseason signing last year, Malcom Floyd can't separate and Antonio Gates has lost a step. The mystery of Brown makes him a more alluring pick than Malcom Floyd and rookie Keenan Allen is also on the radar in deeper leagues.
