Browns wide receiver Travis Benjamin figures to take over as the starter while Josh Gordon serves his two-game suspension while Davone Bess has been quarterback Brandon Weeden's "best friend on third down," according to the Plain Dealer. Weeden also has been supportive of Gordon.
Josh Gordon’s suspension makes Browns receivers situation murky for fantasy owners
The Browns haven’t really been making headlines, but it’s still something worth monitoring. We check in with some of the recent developments in training camp.

“He’s playing faster and I think the nice thing about Josh this year is he’s communicating,” Weeden said of Gordon. “He’ll come over and talk to [receivers coach] Scott Turner, and he’ll say ‘I thought I saw bump and run, or bail’ or whatever it was. If he plays fast he’s got a lot of ability and he’s a big target, a guy that creates some mismatches.’” Gordon was a bit inconsistent last year, finishing with 50 catches, 805 receiving yards and five scores.
Fantasy impact: The Cleveland passing attack didn't really impress in Brandon Weeden's rookie year, but the addition of Norv Turner as his offensive coordinator combined with a full offseason could help the team's offense. Their receiving corps is among the worst in the league and the trio of Travis Benjamin, Davone Bess and Greg Little have been a bit underwhelming in their careers. The morale of the story at this point is that fantasy owners shouldn't knock Gordon down in their rankings too much and he could really come in strong as long as he stays out of trouble. He should be drafted as a high-end WR3 with massive upside.
