Hillman listed at top of Broncos depth chart
The Broncos released their team depth chart for Week 1 of the 2013 NFL season with Ronnie Hillman listed atop the running back position. We break down the fantasy implications.

This is on the heels of Ball getting a heavier workload with the first-team offense earlier in the week, but the team appears more comfortable with giving Hillman the starting nod over the second-round pick.
Fantasy Spin: Head Coach John Fox has a long history of preferring to ease rookie running backs into his offense, and this year proves no different. However, this isn’t so much of an endorsement of Hillman to shoulder most of the load in the backfield as much as it is a glaring sign of a committee approach. Offensive Coordinator Adam Gase echoed those sentiments according to DenverBroncos.com, and as long as that’s the case, this is a situation for fantasy owners to avoid in the early-to-mid rounds of drafts. Though the Broncos ranked ninth in the NFL in overall rushing attempts a season ago, those numbers carry far less weight when the touches are to be split three ways.
