Week 1 of the 2013 NFL season is officially a wrap, which means it is time to start considering waiver wire options in your fantasy football league. Several players got off to strong starts in Week 1, but that does not mean they are the best fantasy options available. Here are a few big performances that might be fool's gold

Kellen Winslow, Jr.: Winslow caught seven passes for 79 yards and a touchdown in the New York Jets win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Geno Smith targeted the veteran tight end nine times. Winslow hasn't played a full season since 2011 when he caught 75 passes for 763 yards and two touchdowns for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Keep injuries in mind when considering this addition.

Brian Hartline: Hartline caught nine passes for 114 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's Miami Dolphins win over the Cleveland Browns. Hartline had his best year in 2012 with 74 receptions for 1083 yards but only found the end zone one time. Hartline has only found the endzone one time during each season of his career with the exception of his rookie season in 2009 when he caught three.

Jerome Simpson: Simpson had seven catches for 140 yards Sunday but did not find the end zone in the Minnesota Vikings loss to the Detroit Lions. Simpson's best year was in 2011 when he caught 50 passes for 725 yards and four touchdowns. Simpson had a better game than Greg Jennings and rookie Cordarelle Patterson but still remains a low end WR3 fantasy option.

Willis McGahee: The free agent running back will work out for the New York Giants on Tuesday. In light of David Wilson's fumbling issues fantasy players might consider snagging him early in anticipation of a signing. Don't overreact as McGahee will turn 32 in October and is coming off a broken arm as well as a torn MCL in his right knee. The Giants will also work out former running back Brandon Jacobs.

Da'Rel Scott: Scott took over the running back duties for the New York Giants Sunday night following David Wilson's benching in a dreadful performance against the Dallas Cowboys. Scott carried the ball five times for 23 yards and caught five passes for 51 yards but did not find the end zone. Look for the Giants to add another running back and give the talented Wilson a chance to redeem himself. Scott isn't a viable running back option.
