Adrian Peterson proves fantasy first pick worthy
Adrian Peterson rushed for a solid 93 yards on 18 carries including two scores while also adding a receiving touchdown in Sunday’s 34-24 loss to the Detroit Lions. We discuss the fantasy implications.

Peterson started the contest off by sprinting for a 78-yard score on the first play from scrimmage, but he was contained by the Lions’ defense for much of the contest thereafter.
Fantasy Impact: No matter which way you split it, Peterson is the be all and end all if the Minnesota Vikings plan to make it back to the playoffs this season. Prior to the start of the season, Purple Jesus was quoted as saying he'd definitely break Eric Dickerson's single season rushing record this year.
Peterson faces the historically tough Chicago Bears next week in an early season divisional matchup. Last year, he averaged 131 yards a game in two contests against them and should see a steady workload again this Sunday, barring a blowout at the hands of Bears rookie coach Marc Trestman.
