Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said that "there's no problem" with Stevan Ridley on Wednesday.
The Patriots ‘need’ Stevan Ridley, fantasy value is just fine
It was a disaster for Stevan Ridley in Week 1, but things should get better. We break down the fantasy implications.

Ridley was benched after a crucial Week 1 fumble that could have led to a loss to the Bills before TomBrady led a fourth-quarter comeback. He finished with 46 yards on nine carries. Shane Vereen injured his wrist and could be out for up to eight weeks, so SV's monster Sunday of 159 yards from scrimmage isn't going to hurt Ridley.
Fantasy impact: The Patriots led the NFL in rushing touchdowns last year and the lack of their receivers suggests they will have to set up the run. What's more, the Patriots were second in the NFL in rushing attempts in 2012. The Patriots are likely going to be without Danny Amendola, Rob Gronkowski and Vereen, so they're going to have to count on Ridley. He hasn't been much of a pass catcher in his career, so Leon Washington could be in the mix to catch some passes. Start Ridley vs. the Jets, folks.
