Richardson carried the ball 13 times for 47 yards Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, adding two receptions for another 30 yards.
Fantasy impact: When Brandon Weeden throwing to Davone Bess or Greg Little is the alternative, it's pretty easy to see why an offensive coordinator wants a stud running back to get more touches.
Week 1 was a rough week for top running backs, with only Adrian Peterson and LeSean McCoy returning top value among the first-round types. Richardson was one of the disappointments, with only a 3.6 yards-per-carry average.
Richardson has, thus far in his career, been injury prone, so fantasy owners would rather keep his touches moderately limited than get a crazy amount of touches and get hurt more quickly. But asking for 20 or so touches isn't obscene, so keeping in the range of that number should be good news for fantasy owners. Richardson, followed by tight end Jordan Cameron, is clearly the Browns' best option on offense. Josh Gordon's return in Week 5 could theoretically change that, but a team still wants to ride its studs.
