With new Colt Bradshaw getting healthier, offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton said the ultimate goal is for the two running backs to share time. We break down the fantasy implications.

The running game was a disappointment against the Oakland Raiders Sunday. Ballard ran the ball 13 times for 63 yards, with Bradshaw contributing seven rushes for 26 yards. Quarterback Andrew Luck added six rushes for 38 yards and a touchdown.
Bradshaw played no preseason games and wasn’t a full practice participant until late in the preseason. He’s still working his way into game condition.
Fantasy impact: Ballard impressed coaches with his ability picking up blitzes Sunday, which had been a concern entering the season. With Ballard looking more impressive so far, and Bradshaw still working his way back to full health, that 50-50 split could take some time.
Bradshaw still is a must-own in all leagues, and his season-long value should be high. For now, though, it will be tough to start him in fantasy lineups until he shows more. Ballard, meanwhile, could be a viable flex option in deeper leagues, though the team is facing a Miami Dolphins defense that limited Trent Richardson to 47 rushing yards a week ago.
