Indianapolis Colts tight end Dwayne Allen sat out practice Thursday, still working on the hip he injured Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. Allen, who only caught one pass for 20 yards and a touchdown Sunday before hurting his hip, also missed practice Wednesday.
Dwayne Allen misses practice, decreasing his fantasy value
Allen has missed practice on consecutive days as he recovers from a hip injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Allen said he is planning to play Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.
Fantasy impact: It's all well and good that Allen hopes to play Sunday, but without practice Friday, fantasy owners shouldn't count on him. He's not an upper-tier tight end option even at full health -- particularly not with guys like Jordan Cameron and Julius Thomas bursting on the scene in Week 1 -- so only the most desperate owners will want to use Allen this week, even if he does practice Friday.
In the meantime, second-year tight end Coby Fleener will see increased time as long as Allen is hobbled. Fleener also had only one catch Sunday, for seven yards. After a disappointing rookie season, Fleener will need to prove his value a lot more to become a viable fantasy option.
