Colts running back Vick Ballard was limited in Thursday's practice with a knee injury.
Vick Ballard limited in Colts’ Thursday practice, fantasy value could diminish
Vick Ballard, who comprises one half of the Colts’ backfield committee, did not participate in practice fully. We break down the fantasy implications.

The ailment is new to the Colts' injury report, although it remains to be seen if Ballard is in any danger of missing the team's Week Two matchup versus the Dolphins on Sunday. Ahmad Bradshaw, Ballard's counterpart in the Colts' backfield committee, did not appear on the injury report after spending the summer recovering from a foot surgery.
Fantasy Spin: Any time a running back that is part of a committee backfield gets injured, it’s always worth monitoring closely. Ballard carried the ball 13 times to Bradshaw’s seven in the Colts’ opener, but trumped him in snap count, 41-15. If Ballard’s knee isn’t near 100 percent, that’s all the more reason for those snap numbers to even out, and it could result in an increased number of touches for Bradshaw. In the meantime, fantasy owners would be advised to avoid the muddied backfield situation in Indianapolis if possible.
