New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has been declared inactive for Thursday night's game against the New York Jets.
Rob Gronkowski inactive, won’t be a fantasy factor for at least another week
Gronk is inactive again and won’t be back until Week 3 at the earliest. We break down the fantasy implications.

Gronkowski is still not all the way back from back surgery. He got in some limited practice sessions this week, but was always a long shot to suit up in Week 2. The latest news is that he could be back as soon as Week 3, which seems to be a sensible timeline--the Patriots have 10 days before their next game.
Fantasy impact: It looks like Gronk will reward patient fantasy owners sooner than later. At worst, he should be ready for Week 4 after avoiding the regular season PUP. He will be a welcome presence for a Patriots offense desperate for healthy playmakers.
In the meantime, the Patriots will dress just two tight ends on Thursday. Zach Sudfeld is inactive with a hamstring issue, so Michael Hoomanawanui is expected to get the start. He's not worth a last-minute fantasy add.
