Rashard Mendenhall’s presence on the weekly injury report will likely be a common occurrence in 2013. He was limited in practice on Wednesday, and he finished with the same status after Thursday’s session.
Rashard Mendenhall limited, expected to play for fantasy owners in Week 2
Rashard Mendenhall isn’t taking full reps in practice. We break down the fantasy implications.

This week’s ailment is listed as a hamstring for Mendenhall. Last week he was limited in practice with a knee issue before taking full reps on Friday. Expect him to be fine for Week 2.
Fantasy impact: Will Mendenhall ever be 100 percent? That’s hard to tell, but he’s going to play on Sunday against the Lions. Unless he tweaks the hamstring on Friday, he’ll be the starter in the Cardinals backfield.
Last week Mendenhall rushed for 60 yards on 16 carries. Alfonso Smith saw a decent amount of touches in Week 1, which also hurt Mendenhall’s stock. Using a featured back in the rushing attack doesn’t seem to be a priority in Bruce Arians’ mind. Don’t invest too much stock in Mendenhall until you see better results.
