With Danny Amendola sidelined, Julian Edelman became Tom Brady’s No. 1 target. We break down the fantasy implications.


Danny Amendola sat out with a groin injury, and with Rob Gronkowski missing time as well, Brady didn’t have much of a choice but to lock in on Edelman. The two have the best rapport out of the active receivers on the depth chart.
Fantasy impact: If you’re a PPR owner, surely you started Edelman for Week 2. Standard league owners didn’t receive much help with seven points from yardage.
Edelman now holds the record for fewest receiving yards with 13 or more receptions, according to Mike Clay of Pro Football Focus. What an accomplishment. Edelman has great PPR value going forward, but with the current state of the roster, the Patriots are having a tough time moving into the red zone.
