After an impressive season-opening performance, Kellen Winslow reverted back to a mediocre showing in Week 2 against the Patriots. He hauled in three passes on six targets for 16 yards on Thursday night.
Kellen Winslow drops off fantasy radar after second game
A promising start to 2013 was quickly forgotten on Thursday night. We break down the fantasy implications.

Winslow finished with seven receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown in Week 1 facing the Buccaneers. This time around, Geno Smith spread the ball out to several different receivers. Stephen Hill and Clyde Gates led the team with eight targets each.
Fantasy impact: If you rushed to the waiver wire to acquire Winslow, you might have wasted your time. Rookie quarterbacks often turn to their tight ends as safety valves, but Smith had four other players in his sights as often or more often than Winslow on Thursday.
This isn’t an indictment of Winslow’s play, exactly. The Jets’ passing game didn’t look good in general. Several receivers dropped catchable passes, and Smith didn’t have much time to throw. Temper your expectations going forward with Winslow.
