But Wallace isn’t staying unhappy, or at least he’s putting on the appearance of being rational. According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, Wallace said that he understands why he didn’t catch many passes, and that the team shouldn’t force him the ball when he’s double- or triple-covered.
Wallace went on to say that winning is the "thing that really matters to me," and that he just wants to "help my team." Wallace is the team's No. 1 receiver ahead of Brian Hartline, and that's not going to change given his $60 million contract, so this is good to hear after the initial worries of him being unhappy.
Fantasy Impact: Wallace will be productive this year, one way or the other. And whether or not he feels he was used wrongly in Week 1 aside, saying the right things in the media goes a long way to giving your teammates -- such as quarterback Ryan Tannehill -- and your coaches confidence in you going forward. This is a good sign, and hopefully Wallace doesn't go back to that poor attitude if he struggles against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2.
