Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy has a problem with the number of touches he's receiving ... but it's not what you'd think. According to Tim McManus of PhillyMag.com, McCoy thinks he might be getting too many carries, or at least he did in Week 1.
LeSean McCoy says he’s getting too many touches; fantasy owners need not worry, though
Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy says he’s getting ... too many touches. We break down the fantasy implications.

McCoy had 31 carries and 32 overall touches against the Washington Redskins. McCoy said that he "didn't mind it" in that game, but that the Eagles could do a "better job rotating because it's a long season." McCoy's high for carries was 273 in 2011, and if he kept up the pace from Week 1, he'd have almost 500 carries.
Which is clearly too much. Of course, McCoy was never going to carry the ball 30-plus times in every game, that's just noting how much he did carry in Week 1. McCoy said that the Eagles have other good backs, such as Bryce Brown, who had nine carries on the day.
Fantasy Impact: You don't often hear a running back complain about carries, so this is a little odd. That said, he wasn't complaining in the same way that players do when they're not getting enough, he was just suggesting that he could produce a lot more down the stretch if he didn't have 30-plus carries a game on him. Fantasy owners shouldn't expect McCoy's production to suddenly drop or anything like that. The points he's making are actually sound.
