Jamaal Charles says he’ll play in Week 2; is a must-start for fantasy owners
Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles says he’ll play in Week 2. We break down the fantasy implications.

Charles is officially listed as probable on the injury report. He left the Week 1 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a bruised quad in the third quarter, before returning for a couple plays and then ultimately sitting out the rest of the game. Kansas City won the game, 28-2.
Charles did not practice on Wednesday, and was a limited participant on Thursday before taking part in full on Friday. There seem to be no doubts about his status heading into Week 2.
Fantasy Impact: Charles is one of the top running back options in fantasy football. Drafting him has always meant assuming more than the normal amount of risk you take when it comes to injuries, however. That said, when there’s a chance -- a good chance -- that Charles will play, it would be unwise to leave him on the bench. Start him and start him with confidence on Sunday.
