Bernard Pierce injury update: Ray Rice’s backup should give it a go, has fantasy value
Bernard Pierce is set to play after being limited in practice this week. We break down the fantasy implications.

He entered the season healthy and wasn't on the injury report, so he looks to have sustained the injury in Week 1 last Thursday. The team said that they're expecting him to give it a go. The second-year back had a rough start to his year, carrying the ball nine times for just 22 yards with no receptions in the bad loss to the Broncos.
Fantasy impact: It was a fairly even carry split for the Ravens with Pierce's nine totes and Ray Rice's 12. The Broncos blew the Ravens out of the water in the second half, so they had to pass the ball to try and catch up. If the Ravens had it their way, they'd be able to control the game with the run. They are extremely shorthanded with Anquan Boldin in San Francisco, Jacoby Jones dealing with an MCL sprain and Dennis Pitta out with a dislocated hip. Although, the Browns have a very good front seven at 100 percent health, so it'll be tough to start a backup guy like Pierce. His fantasy owners should stick with him all year as one of the most valuable handcuffs in all of the NFL. Ray Rice is obviously safe to start, especially in PPR leagues.
