Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert (thumb) will not play against the Raiders in Week 1. He did not practice and Chad Henne has already been named this weekend's starter.
Blaine Gabbert injury update: He’s out, Jaguars fantasy value rises
Blaine Gabbert is not going to play in Week 2. We break down the fantasy implications.

Gabbert was a nightmare in Week 1 against the Chiefs: he averaged barely three yards per attempt, had a passer rating of 30.8 and totaled a QBR of a laughable 1.2. In addition to that, was sacked six times and his inability to deal with pressure in the pocket has already been an undoing for his brief career.
Fantasy impact: It's not often that a team's fantasy value goes up with their starting QB going down, but that's the case here. Cecil Shorts has a chance to bounce back from his quiet Week 1 and Ace Sanders could get looks on the other side. Maurice Jones-Drew still has some work to do in the zone-blocking scheme, but he's still a must-start guy.
