Rams vs. Falcons: fantasy football projections for Jared Cook, Matt Ryan and Julio Jones

The Atlanta Falcons will host the St. Louis Rams this weekend in a matchup that boasts a proven offensive attack against a vastly improving one. To help get fantasy lineups ready ready this week, we've got player projections courtesy of numberFire.

The Rams were able to hold their own against Carson Palmer and the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1. Sam Bradford and the boys managed to get by the Cards with a 27-24 win as the quarterback finishing a yard shy of the 300-yard mark and adding in a pair of touchdown tosses to go with an interception.

Jared Cook and Tavon Austin have emerged as Bradford's go-to-guys ahead of Chris Givens, with the pair being targeted on 17 of Bradford's 38 pass attempts. Cook in particular had a whale of a game, managing seven catches for 141 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Head coach Mike Smith expects both Roddy White (ankle) and Julio Jones (knee) to play in this contest, despite both players being hurt. Jones was particularly effective in Week 1, posting seven catches for 76 yards and a score against the New Orleans Saints.

Should either Jones or White be sidelined last minute, Harry Douglas is the player who will benefit the most. Douglas caught four passes for 93 yards and a touchdown in Week 1 while White was limited to just two targets. Another Falcon worth looking at based on sentimental value is running back Steven Jackson, who will look to burn his former team in his first game back since leaving the Rams.
