Green Bay Packers running back James Starks had a huge Sunday at Lambeau Field, rushing for 132 yards on 20 carries after starter Eddie Lacy suffered a concussion early. He also caught four passes for 36 yards and turned in a 32-yard touchdown run as the Packers crushed the Redskins, 38-20.
James Starks has huge day for Packers, six people who started him in fantasy
Starks came in for an injured Eddie Lacy and became Green Bay’s first 100-yard rusher in 44 regular-season games. We break down the fantasy implications.

Lacy was lost for the game on the team’s first drive. After that, Starks entered and became the Packers’ first running back to exceed 100 rushing yards in their last 44 regular-season games, according to ESPN Stats & Info.
Fantasy impact: Starks looked like he had all sorts of potential when he rushed for 123 yards against the Eagles ... in the 2010 playoffs. The four-year pro had only 934 career rushing yards entering Week 2, losing time to Ryan Grant, Cedric Benson, Alex Green, and others in the years since his apparent breakout.
It remains to be seen how long Lacy is out. The Packers have invested a lot in the rookie out of Alabama, so he’s likely to maintain the starting role whenever he’s able to return. And Starks’ strong production must be taken with a grain of salt, as the Redskins’ defense is the human equivalent of a sieve. Still, if Lacy is out for any length of time, it would make sense to give Starks some fantasy attention, as he’ll become the Packers’ main rusher.
