Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson rushed for 100 yards on 26 carries Sunday. He added a reception for seven more yards as the team fell to the Chicago Bears 31-30.
Adrian Peterson gives fantasy owners 100 yards but no TDs
Peterson’s early-season numbers would look rough but for one huge play in Week 1. We break down the fantasy implications.

A week after scoring three touchdowns with 111 all-purpose yards, Peterson was held scoreless Sunday.
Fantasy impact: Take out his 78-yard touchdown rush on the Vikings’ first offensive snap of the season, and Peterson has tallied only 115 yards on 43 carries so far in 2013, a 2.67 yards-per-carry average. It’s early, that long run does count, and he does have three touchdowns in two games, but that average is not what fantasy owners were expecting when they (most likely) spent the No. 1 overall pick on the running back for this season.
Peterson's next game will be against a Cleveland Browns team that has shut down Lamar Miller and Ray Rice over the season's first two weeks, so there's a chance his struggles will continue.
