Fantasy impact: Gates has been one of Phillip Rivers favorite targets in an offense that has been surprisingly good. Rivers has played well thus far and his receivers are benefiting from it. Although he hasn't found the end zone yet, Gates is getting a lot of attention from Rivers who has thrown seven touchdowns going into Week 3. Gates is a solid TE2 and a good tight end fantasy option in most leagues. In Week 3, the Chargers travel to Nashville to take on a Tennessee Titans defense that has traditionally had trouble covering tight ends.
